Well, right now I am sitting in Tettegouche State Park near Silver Bay, MN. So far things have been a mixed bag. One one hand the scenery up here is amazing but the traffic on the highway in Minnesota is nuts. Most of the way I had good wide shoulders but in some spots it was, well, a little tense. Doesn't allow you to enjoy the ride but instead makes you just put your head down and make sure you hold a line. Coming into the state park tonight was interesting. Several miles to get to my campsite. Uphill. A LOT uphill. Not fun. Especially when I made the mistake of getting firewood and that didn't make the climb easier but I didn't know how far in it was.
Last night it rained most of the evening. The other interesting thing was a guy snored so loudly the entire night I initially thought it was a bear. At least a bear would have had the decency to move around the campsite and annoy a few other people! On that note, picture time. From Day 1...
Checking into my campsite. I didn't see any unfortunately.
Not much from Day One. A campsite isn't too exciting. From day two...
These photos are from the city of Duluth. Really cool place.
I literally was on the "scenic drive". Not just an expression!
A lot of really neat views. And finally the last one here is home tonight.
Until next time!
Gorgeous scenery.
